Insurance Policies
At our office, we make every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. One way we do that is by helping you maximize your insurance benefits.
Insurance Discrepancies
Important: We cannot ethically guarantee any level of insurance coverage. Due to the complex nature of insurance companies and our lack of control, all we can provide you are estimates in good faith. Any quote you receive should be considered an estimate.
On the other hand, we can guarantee that we will work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. Furthermore, we do our best to safely overestimate our quotes; but please keep in mind that we can be wrong.
In the case of discrepancies between the estimate you received and your actual bill, you are fully responsible for the latter.
Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame.
Accepted Insurances
In order to give you the most accurate insurance information, we ask that you please contact us regarding our accepted insurances.
Unfortunately, Enhance Dentist no longer accepts Medicare.
Insurance Plans: Your dental benefit is a contract between you or your employer and the insuring company. Benefits and payments received are based on the terms of the contract negotiated between you or your employer and the insuring company. We are happy to help our patients with dental benefit plans to understand and maximize their coverage.
Our practice may NOT be a contracted provider with your insurance’s network.
If we are a contracted provider with your plan, you are responsible only for your portion of the approved fee as determined by your plan. We are required to collect the patient’s portion (deductible, co-insurance, co-pay, or any amount not covered by the dental benefit plan) in full at time of service. If our estimate of your portion is less than the amount determined by your plan, the amount billed to you will be adjusted to reflect this.
If we are not a contracted provider with your insurance plan, it is your responsibility to verify with the insurance company whether the plan allows patients to receive reimbursement for services from out-of-network providers. If your plan allows reimbursement for services from out-of-network providers, our practice can file the claim with your plan and receive reimbursement directly from the plan if you “assign benefits” to us. In this circumstance, you are responsible and will be billed for any unpaid balance for services rendered upon receipt of payment from the plan to our practice, even if that amount is different than our estimated patient portion of the bill. If you choose to not “assign benefits” to our practice, you are responsible for filing claims and obtaining reimbursement directly from your insurance company and will be responsible for payment to our practice before or at the time of service.
Scheduling Policy
Our scheduling policy is designed to balance three important goals:
- Minimize your wait times while maximizing you and your family’s experiences,
- Allow patients in urgent and unexpected need of care to be treated promptly,
- Provide our doctors and staff ample time to treat you to the best of their abilities.
By Appointment Only
We are fully committed to providing our patients the highest-level of service. For that reason, we only see patients by appointment and do not allow walk-ins at this time.
While we would love to treat walk-in patients, doing so may cause us to compromise the quality our service for your child. Our doctors and staff may have to rush procedures or otherwise provide sub-par services in order to meet the unexpected time constraints. Or, we may unexpectedly have to make other patients and parents wait.
Although we would love to have the business of walk-in patients, the quality of our care and respect for our patients’ times are our main priorities.
However, if you are experiencing severe pain or a dental emergency, we will do everything we can to fit them in and see them the same day.
Limited Scheduling Windows
Because our practice is limited to children, it is not possible to give everyone appointments in the later afternoon.
We found that children under the age of 5 are in a better frame of mind and have more positive experiences in the mornings. The best times for these younger patients is not after school when your child is tired of sitting and either needs rest or physical activity.
For this reason, we prefer to see children who require longer appointments in the morning, when they are rested and alert. We like to reserve late afternoons to older children, who typically have more endurance throughout the day.
While this can seem nitpicky, we found that these recommendations go a long way in providing your children a much more comfortable experience at the dental office.
Your Promptness Requested
Our treatment coordinators will attempt to confirm your appointment 24 hours in advance. However, we do ask that you assume responsibility for your appointment time. If you do need to change an appointment, we ask that you provide our office with a 24-hour notice. This courtesy on your part will allow us to make this time available to patients who could benefit by having treatment done sooner.
To serve all patients in a timely manner, we may need to reschedule an appointment if a patient is 15 minutes late or more.
Potential Delays
We’ve requested your promptness and it is only fair that you expect the same from us. We schedule all our patients as promptly as possible and do everything we can to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting.
However, unpredictable delays can occur on rare occasions for the following reasons:
- We value our patients’ experience highly and some people simply require more time and attention. We try to be efficient where we can, but when it comes to humans, our philosophy is to treat each unique individual as the most important person. Efficiency comes second.
- Patients may come in with a dental emergency or a severe toothache. These symptoms can become traumatic and potentially life-altering if not treated immediately. For this reason, all of our emergency patients are seen as soon as possible.
If you happen to experience these delays, we understand your disappointment and humbly ask for your forgiveness. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your patience.
